Will Coghill-Behrends, PhD

Will Coghill-Behrends, PhD is Co-Director of the Linda R. Baker Teacher Leader Center at the University of Iowa, where his focus is on expanding global education initiatives within the College of Education. Winner of the prestigious Audrey Qualls Diversity Award and Mary Jo Small Development Fellowship, Dr. Coghill-Behrends is now a leading authority on navigating academic careers, culminated in his seminal texts: The PhD Handbook to the Academic Job Search, CV Handbook: A Curriculum Vitae Owner’s Manual, and Getting Hired. He received his doctorate from the University of Iowa, where he also now serves as Clinical Associate Professor in Multilingual Education. Prior to his faculty appointment, he coordinated and led several programs at the university on academic and professional job seeking for individuals with professional graduate degrees. In addition to having delivered conference presentations across the globe, Dr. Coghill-Behrends has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Behavioral Education and Journal of College Student Development.
