Pamela Eddy, PhD is a Fulbright Scholar who currently serves as Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and Development as well as Professor of Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership at the College of William & Mary (W&M). She received her PhD in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University and her MS in Resource Economics from Cornell University, after which time she has served as Doctoral Program Coordinator at Central Michigan University as well as Department Chair in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership at W&M. She is currently a research affiliate at NC State’s Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research and has previously sat on two NSF advisory boards. Among her 12 books (6 as author, 6 as editor) are Leading for Tomorrow: A Primer for Succeeding in Higher Education Leadership (Rutgers University Press), Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders: Contexts, Consequences, & Competencies (Rowman & Littlefield), and Creating Strategic Partnerships: A Guide for Educational Institutions and Their Partners (Stylus Press). In addition to having delivered presentations at both national and international conferences, Dr. Eddy has published 50+ articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Higher Education, Innovation Higher Ed, and Teachers College Record. As an educator and a scholar, she has been the recipient of numerous awards from bodies including the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia and the Council for the Study of Community Colleges.
