Farooq Azam Rathore

Farooq Azam Rathore, MBBS, FCPS, MSc serves as Professor and Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Dr. Rathore received his MBBS from Quaid-e-Azam University, his FCPS in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his MSc in Pain Medicine from Riphah University. A recipient of numerous awards including the ISPRM Young Investigator Award and AuthorAID Mentor of the Year Award, his research on rehabilitation medicine (specifically on spinal cord injuries, stroke rehabilitation, and disaster rehabilitation) has resulted in over 230 publications with more than 4,000 citations. Dr. Rathore serves as Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and as an Advisory Board Member for Cochrane Rehabilitation. In addition to his academic work, he has conducted over 130 workshops globally on medical writing, research ethics, and evidence-based medicine.
