Charlyn Hilliman, PhD currently serves as Chief Diversity Officer & Vice President of Academic Enrichment and Learner Support at Capella University. Former Dean of the School of Public Service Leadership and Faculty Chair for Capella University’s public administration degree programs, Dr. Hilliman previously held leadership positions at both Columbia University as well as Florida International University. Dr. Hilliman holds both a PhD and Master’s in Criminal Justice from the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), as well as a Master of Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In addition to now serving on Capella’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and as a scientific merit reviewer, Dr. Hilliman also serves on several community boards, including Alliance of Youth Development, the Destiny Baptist Church Board of Trustees Community Liaison, and STABLE Community Services, a social services agency. Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Biomedical Informatics and CIN: Computers, Informatic, Nursing.
